Thinking about making a change?
Chances are you know someone who is vegan or eats a plant-based diet. It's finally becoming mainstream. It's a good thing because people are getting sicker than ever. Not only are we hurting ourselves, but we are hurting the planet and it's inhabitants. Fortunately, there is something you can do right now to spark a change. You will reap the health benefits of eating a vegan diet and you will make a difference in the world. You will become a source of inspiration for others. Trust me, people will notice that you look incredible and have more energy than you ever did. They will want to know what you're doing and you will feel so great you can't help but tell them.

Maybe your child wants to eat this way but you don't know how to feed them.  Maybe you or a family member has been recently diagnosed with a health issue that you have heard can be reversed by a whole foods, plant-based diet but you don't know how to do it. Lots of questions come up when you or a family member decides to eat plant-based or become a vegan. What do I make and how do I cook it? Am I giving everything up?  Do I have to do it everyday? Can I do this as a vegetarian instead? Don't stress about it. I'm here to help, answer your questions and be your friend along the journey.

My Story
In my late 30's I started to get high blood pressure readings. My blood work was showing early signs of heart disease. This made me very nervous because my grandfather passed away in his 50's from a heart attack. My aunt was lucky enough to survive her heart attack at the young age of 45! Not only did heart disease run in my family, but my father passed away from lung cancer at 62 after surviving liver failure and receiving a transplant 4 years prior to his death. I had a grandmother who had osteoporosis and died of emphysema. Depression also plagued my family. Needless to say the gene pool wasn't on my side. I didn't want to live a life on medication. Instead I did a lot of research and changed my life. I'm now 46 and after adhering to a plant-based diet my blood pressure is normal and my blood work is optimal.

Along the way, my husband and both children who are now 14 and 11 adopted a plant-based diet. While my husband jumped on board for the most part rather early, my girls were given the option to choose on their own.  They ate vegetarian and plant-based at home and could do what they wanted when they ate out which at the time was mostly fish. My oldest daughter decided to eat exclusively plant-based 2 years ago. My youngest daughter who was our flexitarian hold out completely did a 180 this year and became a dedicated vegan.
